We are proud to announce the full conference agenda of the third World Design Forum. WDF 2012 builds on the success of last year’s event with the theme ‘care’. This year we move from micro to macro and look at the creation of local living communities and economies from the ground up. We inquire how social innovation enables that to happen.

The seminar will officially be opened by Mary-Ann Schreurs (Alderman of Innovation and Culture, city of Eindhoven). Then Theo Camps (Berenschot) will give an introduction on this years theme: Igniting social progress.

In response to three themes: co-creation, learning and ignition, social entrepreneurs will describe the ‘micro revolutions in daily life’ they are passionate about. Besides that, in short and sharp panels, again led by John Thackara, entrepreneurs and strategists will explore where design and designers can make a difference.

With top-notch keynotes and cases like Witness, Helsinki Design Lab (Bryan Boyer), Bricks and Bread (Trudy Thompson) and many more, it promises to be an inspiring, innovative and informative seminar.
