What will be the impact on our wellbeing if smart technology determines everything? We launch this new Probes Program with this challenging theme and the kick off is coming up.

With Philips Design as a collaborating partner, World Design Forum will conduct a design research on the future of health in an ageing society: “The Future Art of Ageing”. Imagine a possible future where the average life expectancy of people may increase to 150 years and where the majority of the population may be older than the current retirement age.

World Design Forum organized together with U Create the Urban Futures Lab. This video is a trailer of the activities and the process of this event. It even shows the valuable rollercoaster in which the participants were in during the process.

Het Urban Futures Lab in Den Haag leverde afgelopen maart interessante denkbeelden op over de toekomst van de stad. Het Urban Futures Lab was een brainstormsessie van vijf dagen waarin studenten, creatieven en ambtenaren samenwerkten aan impressies van mogelijke toekomstbeelden (probes).

During the Urban Futures Lab, the participants have developed in 8 teams a probe to one of the four what-if-questions. The insights are visualized.
